The Extech SL130W Continuous Sound Level Alert Meter continuously monitors sound level from 30 to 80dB, 60 to 110dB and 80 to 130dB. When noise is too high or too low, an LED alert flashes to warn the user. This is particularly useful in hospitals where it is important to maintain a quiet, calm environment. The user can set the alarm limits to his/her preference in order to suit the environment.
A practical design allows the Extech SL130W to be mounted on a wall, on a tripod or on a desk so it is easily visible. A green LED will indicate that sound levels are acceptable whilst a red LED will signal a problem.
The Extech SL130W conforms to IEC Type 2 Sound Level Meter standards and has a number of advanced features including programmable A/C weighting, adjustable response time, and recording of maximum value with a time stamp.
